How do I remove the ball joint and replace it with a quick-release bracket?

If you need to remove the ball joint and shock absorber mount, follow these steps:

Removal of the patella:

• The ball joint and shock absorber base come pre-installed and secured with threadlocker glue, making them very firm.
• If you try to unscrew it by hand or with a wrench, it may not come off easily.
• The threadlocker needs to be heated to soften it before removal.

Steps:

1. First, remove the ball joint support from the base.
2. Wrap the kneecap with a dry towel or use heat-resistant gloves to hold it.
3. Use a heat gun or lighter to heat the screw that connects the ball joint to the shock absorber base.
4. After heating it for a while, use a hex key to unscrew the bolt.

Quick Release Bracket Installation:

Once the ball joint and the shock absorber base are separated:

1. Loosen the quick-release bracket screws.
2. Attach the thinner part of the bracket to the base with screws.
3. Attach the thicker part to the ball joint and the body of the support.
4. After assembly, align both parts of the quick-release bracket on the same plane and slide them horizontally to complete the installation.

To remove the quick-release bracket:

• Press and hold the red button and separate the two parts in opposite directions, along the same plane.
